If they were in his trousers, she'd have had a hard time of it (geddit?). If they weren't, then where were they? Reckon there's more to this story than meets the eye.
And how can it have ruined his life? Unless he only had one to begin with. In which case it would really suck. Then again, he probably gets mighty nervous every time a lady puts her hands anywhere near his bits, so that's probably what he meant.
