Cripes. What an awful story.
Strange thing about it, though. Reading about his face being bitten off is like, 'shit, that's terrible', but to have a foot severed (presumably bitten/chewed off), AND your testicles, that's when it gets truly disturbing.
Maybe it's because I'm a man? Is the idea of having your face bitten off worse if you're a woman? You see in those old films where the good-for-nothing boyfriend/pimp comes to give his gal a seeing to...

Either way, guess that's the end of their love of chimpanzees.
